Parvathipuram, Andhra Pradesh : A powerful explosion at the RTC Complex in Parvathipuram Manyam district caused panic among locals and commuters today. The blast occurred while workers were loading and unloading parcels from an RTC bus that had arrived with items from ANL Parcel Service.
According to initial reports, the explosion caused severe injuries to four individuals, while two others sustained minor injuries. The impact of the blast damaged the parcel counter shed and shattered glass panels in the vicinity, creating chaos at the busy transportation hub.
Emergency services quickly responded, and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Two of the severely injured victims were later shifted to a hospital in Visakhapatnam for advanced medical treatment.
Parvathipuram MLA Bonela Vijayachandra visited the district hospital to meet the injured victims. He spoke with doctors and urged them to provide the best possible care. He later inspected the site of the explosion and expressed deep concern over the incident.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the parcel box linked to the explosion may have originated from Vizianagaram and was labeled under “fans item.” RTC officials and local residents have informed the police, who have since registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the blast.
Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
