Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh – A special grievance redressal meet for ex-servicemen was held today at the headquarters of the State Ex-Services League, located in Naralasetti Vari Palem, 32nd Ward of Bapatla town. The event was organized to address the ongoing issues faced by veterans and their families.

The chief guests of the event were Major General Rajender Pal Singh (VSM), a retired officer of the Indian Army and current Advisor to SBI-CDBA, along with his wife Avaneet Kaur. They were warmly welcomed and felicitated with traditional shawls and flower bouquets by members of the State Committee.

Presiding over the meeting was State League Secretary Sheikh Kalesh.

Addressing the attendees, Major General Singh emphasized the rising threat of cyber fraud and urged all veterans and their families to stay vigilant while handling their financial transactions. He pointed out that many ex-servicemen have been falling prey to fraudulent advertisements on social media and the internet, leading to loss of savings. “No one should remain unaware. Learn to recognize cyber scams and safeguard your funds,” he advised.

Singh also discussed financial products such as MODs (Multi Option Deposits), Fixed Deposits, DSPs, PAIs, and Savings Accounts, helping veterans understand how to manage their finances more effectively.

On the occasion, State League President Reddy Srinivasa Varaprasad gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation through an LCD monitor. The presentation showcased the services rendered by the State League, various documentation support offered, and their ongoing correspondence with authorities regarding veterans’ issues.

Varaprasad explained the collaborative efforts between the State League, State Sainik Board, and District Sainik Welfare Offices in improving the welfare of ex-servicemen. He assured the attendees that all grievances raised during the event would be escalated to higher authorities for speedy resolution.

A large number of ex-servicemen and widows attended the program, actively voicing their concerns and receiving clear, solution-oriented responses. Avaneet Kaur took a special interest in addressing women’s issues, offering practical advice and support.

Also present were Varla Anand Babu, Chief Manager of SBI Bapatla Main Branch, and the Accounts Manager, who provided detailed information about personal loans and home loans for veterans.

The veterans and widows expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guests for the valuable insights and support shared during the program. The guests also paid floral tributes at the Amaraveerula Sthupam (Martyrs’ Memorial), honoring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers.

State-wide services rendered by Varaprasad were lauded by the guests.

The event witnessed active participation from State League Treasurer Sheikh Kalisha, Vasanth Rao, Nagaraju, Koteswara Rao, Akhil, Vamshi Krishna, and other members of the District and State League, including numerous ex-servicemen and widows.
