Jagtial District, Metpally: Metpally DSP Ramulu has appealed to all political parties and candidates to cooperate with the police to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the upcoming elections. He made these remarks during a press conference held at the DSP office in Metpally.
With the election campaign period coming to an end and polling scheduled to be held on the 11th of this month, DSP Ramulu stressed the importance of maintaining a calm and peaceful atmosphere. He urged candidates and party leaders to strictly follow the election code of conduct and avoid any actions that could disturb law and order.
He specifically warned against seeking votes near polling stations or engaging in arguments and conflicts in those areas. DSP Ramulu stated that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to create disturbances or provoke tensions during the election period.
The DSP further informed that counseling sessions have been conducted for history-sheeters and habitual offenders, and special surveillance has been placed on them as a preventive measure. He added that Metpally and Korutla towns are under continuous CCTV surveillance, and CCTV cameras are also being installed at polling stations to monitor every movement.
DSP Ramulu assured that all necessary security arrangements have been made to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections.
