Karimnagar, Telangana – As part of efforts to maintain law and order, police under the Karimnagar Police Commissioner conducted flash vehicle checks across the city on Sunday. The surprise operation was carried out at 20 major junctions with the participation of approximately 150 police personnel.
The primary objective of the operation was to ensure the safety of commuters and to enforce traffic regulations strictly. During the checks, police conducted drunk driving tests and took action against vehicles without number plates, those with tampered plates, underage drivers, triple riders on two-wheelers, those driving on the wrong side of the road, and vehicles lacking proper documentation.
Speaking about the initiative, the Police Commissioner stated that such checks are part of ongoing surveillance efforts and will continue in the future. He urged the public to follow traffic rules and cooperate with law enforcement. The Commissioner emphasized that these measures are aimed at reducing crime and ensuring the safety and well-being of city residents.
Police officials added that these checks not only deter unlawful activity but also serve as a reminder for vehicle owners to stay compliant with road safety norms.
