Masayipet, Toopran Division : A tragic road accident occurred on National Highway-44 near the outskirts of Masayipet mandal, claiming the life of a two-wheeler rider on the spot. The incident created panic in the area.
According to preliminary information, the motorcyclist was traveling on the wrong side of the highway when he collided head-on with an oncoming tempo. Due to the severe impact of the collision, the rider sustained critical injuries and died instantly at the scene. The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed.
The accident led to heavy traffic congestion on NH-44 near Masayipet mandal. District Additional SP Mahender, who was traveling from Toopran towards Medak, noticed the accident and immediately reached the spot to initiate rescue and relief measures.
The Additional SP personally reviewed the situation and directed police personnel to shift the body from the scene. Traffic was later cleared and vehicular movement was restored.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. The accident once again highlights the dangers of driving on the wrong side of the road.
