Medak Dist / Toopran: Dr. Paturi Swapnashree from Masaipet/Toopran Division has brought pride to the region by receiving the National Best Teacher Award. In recognition of her numerous social service initiatives, she was honored with the prestigious “Gurudevobhava Seva Puraskar” at the national level.
The award ceremony was held at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The award was presented by Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, Chairman of the Gurudevobhava Trust, former minister, noted author, Padma Bhushan awardee, and Central Hindi Advisor to the Vishva Hindi Parishad.
Apart from her contributions to the field of education, Dr. Swapnashree has been actively involved in various social service activities. She has extended financial support to old age homes and orphanages, provided assistance to abused girls, paid school fees for underprivileged students, and played a key role in preventing child marriages.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Swapnashree said, “Instead of offering money in temple hundis, I prefer to serve society with whatever I have. I pray that through these small acts of service, God’s blessings remain with my children.” She shared that a serious accident involving her son further inspired her to dedicate herself more deeply to social service.
She acknowledged that she faced several challenges while carrying out good initiatives but affirmed her commitment to continue her service activities. She stated that receiving this award has motivated her to work with even greater dedication in both education and social service.
