Dubai : In a major boost to Andhra Pradesh’s capital development plans, Dubai-based real estate giant Sobha Realty Group has pledged a contribution of ₹100 crore towards the construction of a world-class library in Amaravati. The announcement was made by Ravi Menon, Chairman of Sobha Group, during his meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently on an official visit to Dubai to attract global investments into the state.
The proposed library is envisioned as a landmark knowledge hub and a cornerstone of Amaravati’s transformation into a global city. Chief Minister Naidu expressed his gratitude for the generous commitment, stating that the initiative aligns seamlessly with his long-term vision of developing Amaravati as a modern, world-class city with state-of-the-art infrastructure and public amenities.
“We are building Amaravati to be among the best cities in the world, and this library will serve as a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and culture,” said CM Naidu during the meeting.
Real Estate, Technology, and Green Energy in Focus
During their discussion, the Chief Minister invited Sobha Realty to actively participate in Andhra Pradesh’s capital region development and extended a formal invitation to Ravi Menon to visit the state and assess ongoing projects firsthand.
Naidu highlighted several high-impact initiatives currently underway in Andhra Pradesh, including the development of Quantum Valley in Amaravati and a Google Data Centre in Visakhapatnam. He also pointed out that Tirupati and Visakhapatnam are poised for massive transformation, with large-scale investments planned across infrastructure, technology, and urban development.
“Andhra Pradesh offers vast investment potential in sectors such as real estate, renewable energy, IT parks, industrial corridors, and tourism infrastructure,” the Chief Minister said, urging global investors to consider opportunities in townships, luxury hotels, convention centres, and premium housing projects in strategic regions.
