Ganesh Utsav Pandals, Processions Require Mandatory Police Permission: Palnadu SP

Palnadu District : Superintendent of Police, Palnadu District,  Kanchi Srinivasa Rao, IPS, has issued a directive stating that organizers of Ganesh Utsav celebrations must obtain prior police permission for setting up Ganesh pandals and organizing processions. He clarified that while permission is mandatory, there is no need to pay any fee or challan for setting up pandals.

To streamline the permission process, the SP urged citizens to follow the Single Window system introduced by the Andhra Pradesh State Government. Organizers are advised to form a committee and apply through the official portal https://ganeshutsav.net to obtain necessary approvals.

Application Process:

  1. Visit: https://ganeshutsav.net

  2. Click on “New Application”

  3. Enter your mobile number and verify using OTP

  4. Once verified, the application form will open

Details to be filled in the application form:

  • Applicant’s Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Address

  • Association/Committee Name

  • Location of Ganesh Pandal, Idol Height, Pandal Height

  • Sub-division and Police Station jurisdiction

  • Names and Contact Numbers of Committee Members

  • Date & Time of Ganesh Idol Immersion and Vehicle Details

Once the application is submitted, concerned police officials will inspect the location and then grant permission.

NOC & QR Code Download Process:

  1. Visit: https://ganeshutsav.net/applicationStatus

  2. Enter your mobile number

  3. Download the No Objection Certificate (NOC) along with a QR Code containing the terms and conditions

 The downloaded NOC and QR Code must be printed, laminated, and displayed at the pandal. Inspecting officers will verify these during visits.

SP’s Appeal to the Public:

SP Sri Kanchi Srinivasa Rao emphasized that all organizers must adhere to police guidelines and obtain required permissions to ensure a peaceful and safe Ganesh Utsav. He called upon the public to cooperate fully with law enforcement and celebrate the festival in a harmonious environment.

“Let us all work together to celebrate Ganesh Utsav with devotion, discipline, and public safety as our top priority,” the SP stated.
