Local MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy recently inaugurated the government hospital, which stands as a mere façade – on one side, shoddy buildings, and on the other, the distribution of expired medicines, endangering people’s lives.
Allegations abound regarding government medical staff affixing new stickers on expired medicines and supplying them to patients. CPI leader Krishna Naik has expressed his concerns that they are hiding expired medicines in bathrooms and urinals, putting patients’ lives at risk. Doctors and medical staff seem conspicuously absent, leaving patients in a dire situation.
Despite awareness of a significant scam and the imminent threat to patients’ lives, expired medicines continue to be administered, jeopardizing the well-being of those seeking medical care. The public calls upon higher authorities to investigate this drug mafia and take immediate action.”
