Krishnamurthy, serving at the Parvathipuram Police Station, proves that behind the khaki uniform can also live a compassionate and selfless human being. While professionally protecting the public, he has also become a lifeline for the poor, earning appreciation as an “ideal police officer.”
In a recent special interview with The Reporter TV, Krishnamurthy shared insights about his life mission and service-oriented outlook.
Humanity Is His Identity
Despite the demanding nature of police duty—dealing with crimes, investigations, and court-related work—Krishnamurthy has never lost his human touch. While many people focus on personal comfort and luxury after securing a job, he chooses a different path. A major portion of his salary is spent on helping the poor and feeding the hungry.
Inspired by His Parents
“My parents taught me in childhood that wiping the tears of the poor is the greatest service to society. As long as I live, I will honor their words,” Krishnamurthy said emotionally during the interview.

He said the ideals of great leaders such as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar guide his life. Their thoughts and values continue to inspire his commitment to serving society.

Krishnamurthy has been helping elderly people who have no support by providing food and medicines. He also distributes textbooks and educational materials to poor students, setting an inspiring example for others.
Recognized as a “Friend of the Elderly”
Whenever he gets a little free time from duty, he visits poor families in nearby colonies to understand their problems. His service to elderly citizens has earned him recognition as a “Vridha Mitra” (Friend of the Elderly). For people in distress, his assurance—“I am there for you”—has become a source of hope.
Recognizing his dedication, the government, senior officials, and several voluntary organizations have honored him with multiple awards.
Without seeking bribes or indulging in luxury, Krishnamurthy continues to serve the poor with humility and dedication. Officers like him are a matter of pride for the police department.
