Hyderabad, June 5, 2025 — A wave of concern is sweeping through the regional television industry as dubbing artists raise serious allegations against two prominent serial producers for non-payment of dues and lack of accountability.
According to industry sources, Rebala Srinivas Reddy, the producer of the popular Telugu television serial Sravana Sandhya ( Gemini TV ), has allegedly failed to pay the salaries of several dubbing artists involved in the project. Artists report multiple reminders and pleas have gone unanswered, leaving them financially strained and emotionally distressed.
Adding to the controversy, Ramesh, producer of the Shivangi serial ( Gemini TV), is reportedly absconding after defaulting on payment commitments. Artists who worked on the show claim that despite completing their assignments months ago, they have not received their agreed-upon wages. Attempts to contact the producer have proven futile.
The situation highlights a recurring issue in the entertainment industry: the exploitation of creative professionals behind the scenes. What has amplified concerns further is the continued inaction from industry authorities and regulatory bodies, who have yet to intervene meaningfully despite repeated complaints.
“This is not just about money. It’s about respect and basic rights,” said a senior dubbing artist who wished to remain anonymous. “Producers walk away with profits and fame, while we’re left chasing what we rightfully earned.”
Industry unions and artist associations are now calling for stricter enforcement of contracts, blacklisting of non-compliant producers, and the creation of a transparent payment monitoring mechanism.
As the issue gains traction, many are urging the telangana government to break their silence and take swift action to protect the livelihoods of countless behind-the-scenes professionals who form the backbone of the entertainment world.
