Hyderabad – SR Nagar: In a bold and proactive move, the Hyderabad Traffic Police launched a special drive targeting illegal encroachments on footpaths and roads in key areas including Vengal Rao Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, and Madhura Nagar.
Following a growing number of public complaints about traffic congestion and pedestrian inconvenience due to unauthorized sheds and structures along footpaths, traffic police have taken strict action to restore order. Officers identified and removed several illegal constructions on both sides of the roads within these colonies, aiming to ease traffic flow and ensure pedestrian safety.
During the operation, Circle Inspector Sanjay stated, “Encroachments on roads and footpaths will not be tolerated. Anyone found building illegal structures will face strict legal action.” The CI emphasized the importance of keeping public spaces clear and accessible for everyone.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of CI Sanjay and saw active participation from SI Ganesh and other police personnel. The authorities have warned that such enforcement actions will continue across other neighborhoods as well, as part of their larger initiative to tackle urban traffic woes.
