Vikarabad: Sanitation Crisis in Dom Mandal’s Gundala Village — Residents Raise Health Concerns

Telangana /Gundala, Vikarabad District – Residents of Gundala village in Doma mandal are facing severe hardships due to worsening sanitation conditions, particularly in the 4th ward. For the past three months, an underground drainage pipeline has been broken, causing sewage water to accumulate on the main road.

The stagnant wastewater has made everyday life difficult, especially during the monsoon season. Locals report that the drinking water supply is also irregular, adding to their troubles. The pools of sewage have led to a dramatic increase in mosquito populations, heightening the risk of vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria.

Despite repeatedly lodging complaints with the Panchayat Secretary, villagers allege that no action has been taken. Their growing frustration is now turning into concern over a potential public health crisis if authorities fail to intervene promptly.
