Negligence at Private Hospital in Kagaznagar Leads to Critical Condition of 2.5-Year-Old Child

Kommuram Bheem Asifabad District: The negligence of private hospitals in Kagaznagar has once again come to light, with a two-and-a-half-year-old child’s health deteriorating severely after being administered expired glucose at Rudra Hospital. The incident has raised serious concerns among locals regarding the lack of accountability in private healthcare facilities.

According to reports, the child, a resident of Sirpur Mandal, was suffering from a high fever on Saturday. Concerned about the child’s condition, the family took the child to Rudra Hospital in Kagaznagar for treatment. Doctors admitted the child to the hospital, citing the severity of the fever and the need for immediate medical care. However, in a shocking lapse in care, hospital staff administered glucose that had expired in July 2025.

As a result of the expired glucose, the child’s condition worsened, with the fever escalating further and the child experiencing difficulty in breathing. When the child’s father noticed the deteriorating condition, he immediately questioned the medical staff. In response, the doctors reportedly brushed off the concern, dismissing it as a “minor mistake” and assuring that there was “no major issue.”

This alarming negligence has prompted local residents to demand strict action against such private hospitals. People have called for the cancellation of the licenses of hospitals that engage in such reckless practices, risking patients’ lives for the sake of negligence.

Health officials are under pressure to investigate the incident and take stringent measures to ensure that hospitals prioritize patient safety and adhere to medical standards. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with calls for stricter regulations on private healthcare providers to prevent similar incidents in the future.
