Case Registered Against Two for Attempt to Encroach Government Land

Komaram Bheem Asifabad District:  Municipal authorities in Kagaznagar town have taken strict action against individuals who attempted to encroach on government land and start illegal house construction in Vijayabasti Colony.

According to officials, some individuals had allegedly occupied a government “Orre” (drain/water channel) in the colony and began digging foundations for house construction. Following complaints from local residents during the Praja Vani grievance program, the municipal administration took immediate action.

Acting on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Tirupati, town planning officials inspected the site and removed the illegal encroachments. With the help of a JCB machine, the dug trenches were filled and the land was cleared to restore the original condition of the government property.

Obstruction of Officials’ Duties

While the municipal staff were carrying out the removal of encroachments, two individuals allegedly obstructed the officials and behaved aggressively. They attempted to stop the work and created hurdles in the discharge of official duties.

Taking the matter seriously, the Municipal Commissioner lodged a complaint at the Kagaznagar Police Station against the two individuals for obstructing government officials. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case and issued an FIR.

Commissioner’s Warning

The Municipal Commissioner warned that strict action will be taken against anyone encroaching on government lands or water bodies. He also cautioned that those who obstruct government officials in the discharge of their duties will face legal consequences.
