Hyderabad : Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivdhar Reddy retired from service today. Immediately after his retirement, the state government entrusted him with a key responsibility by appointing him as the State Security Advisor.
The government issued orders confirming his appointment, indicating that his expertise and services are still vital for the state. He has been appointed to this position with the rank of Chief Secretary and will serve for a period of three years from the date of assuming charge.
As the State Security Advisor, Shivdhar Reddy will provide direct guidance to the government on maintaining law and order, internal security, and crime control. He will also focus on critical challenges currently faced by the state, including narcotics control (drug regulation) and road safety.
Salary and Facilities:
He will receive a monthly salary of ₹2.25 lakh along with a house rent allowance of ₹50,000.
The government has also provided him with a government vehicle, TA/DA, and medical reimbursement facilities. Additionally, a dedicated office has been set up for him with supporting staff, including one OSD, a private secretary, two drivers, and four office subordinates.
Officials believe that this appointment will further strengthen the state’s security framework.
