Andhrapradesh – Palnadu District, Vinukonda: A case has been registered against Chinna Mallayya—who previously served as a Circle Inspector (CI) in Vinukonda, Palnadu district, and is currently placed under Vacancy Reserve (VR) status—following allegations of rape leveled against him. A woman approached the police, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her.
Acting on the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation. According to the details provided by the complainant, she had leased and was managing a country chicken farm owned by Chinna Mallayya, located near Brahmanapalli in the Vinukonda Mandal. In her complaint, she alleged that it was during this period that Chinna Mallayya forcibly subjected her to sexual assault.
Seeking justice, the victim lodged a formal complaint at the police station. Upon receiving the complaint, the police registered the case and shifted the victim to a local government hospital for medical examinations.
The investigation into this incident is currently underway under the supervision of senior police officials. The emergence of such grave allegations against a police officer—who was once entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order—has become a subject of intense discussion within the local community.
