This intervention, which involved the resolution of a longstanding issue between a father and son, has won widespread praise from the local community.

The issue came to light when Edluri Venkat Rao, a resident of Edlapadu village, approached the district’s public grievance platform with a complaint that his son, Nagaraju, forcing to leave the house and allegedly planning to usurp his property. This personal dispute had been a source of tension within the family, and despite multiple attempts, the issue remained unresolved for some time.

In an unprecedented move, he personally visited the village to investigate the matter. On reaching Edlapadu, the SP held a counseling session with both Venkat Rao and his son Nagaraju. During the meeting, the SP spoke to both parties, helping them understand each other’s perspectives and guiding them towards reconciliation.

The intervention by the district’s top police official was crucial in diffusing the conflict. Through dialogue and understanding, the father and son were able to resolve their differences, and Nagaraju agreed to stay at home, allowing peace to be restored to the family.

This personal involvement of SP Srinivasa Rao has been widely appreciated by the residents of Edlapadu, especially those from the SC Colony, where the incident occurred. Village elders and locals expressed their gratitude for the SP’s direct intervention, noting that this was the first time a high-ranking district officer had gone to such lengths to address a common man’s issue.

“It is truly heartening to see our district police chief taking the time to personally visit a village and solve a problem that had been troubling our community for years,” said one of the elders from the SC Colony. “This kind of personal attention to the grievances of ordinary citizens is rare and deserves recognition.”

SP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao’s approach underscores his dedication to serving the public, emphasizing that his role as a police officer goes beyond law enforcement and extends to nurturing harmony and resolving disputes within the community. His direct involvement has not only solved a family dispute but has also reinforced the public’s faith in the local police.

This incident is seen as a positive step toward improving the relationship between the police and the public, showcasing that when officers take a personal interest in the well-being of their community, real change and resolution can occur. It also highlights the importance of empathy and understanding in law enforcement, an example that could inspire other officers across the state to follow suit.
