Vijayawada : The 93rd Indian Air Force Day was celebrated with grandeur on October 12 in Vijayawada. Air Force veterans from various parts of the state participated in the event with great enthusiasm, reflecting a strong spirit of patriotism and camaraderie.
The event was graced by Air Commodore T. Srivastava (Retd.) as the chief guest. Reddy Srinivasa Vara Prasad, President of the State Ex-Servicemen’s League, attended as a special guest. He spoke extensively about the issues faced by ex-servicemen and emphasized the need for their welfare. Vara Prasad, who has been actively working for the betterment of former servicemen, was widely appreciated and commended during the event.
Beyond the ceremonial aspect, the gathering also focused on discussions related to petitions and appeals to the government for enhanced welfare schemes for veterans.
The event was attended by Association President Musunuru Ravi (Retd. DSP), General Secretary Tummala Sambasiva Rao, and Executive Committee Members G.V. Anjaneyulu, K.S. Chalam, and G. Vijay Kumar, among others.
This celebration served as a tribute to the brave personnel of the Indian Air Force and inspired the youth by highlighting the sacrifices and dedication of the armed forces.
