Anantapur : All arrangements for the Gooty Fort Festival–2026, scheduled to be held on March 14 and 15 in Anantapur district, must be completed without delay, directed Joint Collector C. Vishnucharan to the concerned officials.
On Friday evening, the Joint Collector inspected the preparations being made at the Football Ground in Gooty town, where the main events of the festival will be conducted. He instructed officials to ensure that the two-day celebrations on Saturday and Sunday are organized successfully without any shortcomings.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that all departments should work in coordination to make the festival a grand success. He directed that all arrangements should be completed by Friday night. Facilities such as stage setup, stalls, and food courts at the venue should be made ready immediately, and protocol arrangements must be handled efficiently.
He also instructed that cultural programs should be organized in an attractive manner to engage visitors, while sanitation measures should be maintained continuously. Proper planning must be ensured for VIP entry and exit arrangements, he added.
The Joint Collector further directed officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Heritage Walk scheduled on Sunday, which aims to showcase the rich history and heritage of Gooty Fort to the public.
