Major Terror Plot Foiled; 9 Linked to ISI-Dawood Network Arrested

New Delhi: In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell has foiled an alleged terror conspiracy and arrested nine individuals suspected of having links with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and the network of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

According to police officials, the arrested suspects were allegedly planning coordinated attacks in several parts of the country, including Delhi and Mumbai. Preliminary investigations indicate that the group had identified critical infrastructure such as nuclear facilities, airports, railway stations, power plants, and security personnel as potential targets.

The accused include individuals from Delhi, Mumbai, and Punjab, along with some foreign nationals, police said. During the operation, authorities reportedly recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials from their possession.

Officials stated that the Special Cell had been monitoring the activities of the group for an extended period before launching the operation. Acting on intelligence inputs, police teams conducted coordinated raids and apprehended the suspects before the alleged plot could be executed.

Investigators are now examining the group’s alleged cross-border connections, sources of funding, and the role of foreign handlers. Authorities are also probing possible links between the suspects and organized crime networks operating from abroad.

The arrests come amid heightened security concerns and ongoing terror alerts in the national capital. Security agencies have intensified surveillance and are analyzing digital devices, communication records, and financial transactions seized during the investigation.

Police officials described the operation as a significant success in preventing a potential threat to national security. Further investigations are underway.
