TDP Leader Attacks Government Employee, Incident Sparks Controversy

Kanigiri: Tension prevailed following allegations that a government employee was assaulted by a group of persons while he was on duty at the Kotalapalli Secretariat. The victim, identified as government employee Venkata Krishna, alleged that he was attacked inside the Secretariat and threatened by the accused.

Speaking to the media, Venkata Krishna said that he was alone in the Secretariat when his colleague had gone out for lunch. According to him, TDP Mandal President Kelam Indrabhupal Reddy, along with his alleged associates Elika Anjaiah, Ongole Srinu and Jaipal, and others entered the office and attacked him.

Venkata Krishna alleged that around seven persons were involved in the incident and that he was attacked without any provocation. He further alleged that Kelam Indrabhupal Reddy hit him three times on the head with a plastic chair, leaving him seriously injured.

The employee also alleged that the attackers took away his mobile phone and kept him confined inside the office for nearly an hour. He claimed that they used abusive language and threatened to kill him despite his repeatedly informing them that he was a government employee performing his official duties.

Venkata Krishna appealed to the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and take strict legal action against those responsible.

Meanwhile, former CITU district president P.V. Seshaiah visited Venkata Krishna, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Seshaiah condemned the alleged assault and demanded that the authorities take appropriate action.

The incident has become a topic of discussion locally. Further details are awaited regarding the police investigation and the allegations made by the accused.
