Vizianagaram District, Badangi: An HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination program was launched at the Government Hospital in Badangi mandal of Vizianagaram district.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Prathyusha stated that the Central Government has supplied HPV vaccine doses for girls aged between 16 and 18 years. She explained that the HPV vaccine plays a crucial role in preventing cervical cancer and helps protect young girls from the risk of developing the disease in the future.
The vaccination drive has been initiated by the State Government with the support of the Central Government. Dr. Prathyusha urged eligible girls to come forward and get vaccinated, emphasizing that early immunization is key to preventing cervical cancer.
She also appealed to parents to create awareness and ensure that their daughters receive the vaccine for better health protection.
