While the ruling leaders celebrate “Happy Holi,” a “Bloody Holi” is being witnessed on the double road in Ganneruvaram Mandal of Karimnagar district, alleged BJP constituency convener Muthyala Jagan Reddy.
Marking the Holi festival, he staged a unique protest by sitting on the road and applying colors to his face, highlighting the poor condition of the Gundlapalli–Pothur road.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that people have been waiting for decades for the construction of the double road from Gundlapalli to Pothur. “Every election brings promises, every government performs foundation stone ceremonies, but the public is left only with injuries and accidents,” he alleged.
He criticized the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government for issuing a ₹71 crore Government Order and laying a foundation stone without completing the project. He further accused the current Indian National Congress MLA of promising to complete the road within 100 days but instead damaging the existing road and laying gravel, putting lives at risk.
He stated that flying gravel stones are injuring children and elderly residents daily. “Like the colors on my face, blood stains are appearing on the faces of the people. Should citizens shed tears of blood for casting their votes?” he questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He warned that during the rainy season, the entire mandal may face flooding, and even ambulances may not be able to reach villages. “This is not merely inconvenience — it is a life-threatening issue,” he stressed, demanding immediate commencement of road construction works.
